How to install CM 10.2 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean ROM for Samsung Galaxy S I9000 device:

  1. Firstly, you need to download the CM 10.2 custom ROM zip from here.
  2. Secondly, download the Gapps for Android 4.3 firmware from here.
  3. Connect the smartphone with your computer by using the USB cable.
  4. Copy and paste (Move) the both downloaded zip files to the device internal storage.
  5. Do not unzip the files.
  6. Disconnect the smartphone from the PC when the files are successfully copied.
  7. Turn off the device.
  8. Boot it into CWM Recovery Mode. To do this you need to press and keep holding the Volume Up, Home and Power buttons in the same time.
  9. When the custom Recovery menu is displayed then you can release the buttons.
  10. Now, create a full NANDROID Backups for your device’s running ROM, so that will be a restore point for the smartphone. To do this select the ‘backup and restore’ option from the CMW recovery menu and store the backup file on the device’s internal or external fee space.

  13. To do this select ‘install zip from sdcard’, then ‘choose zip from sdcard’ and find the copied custom ROM zip file and confirm its installation.
  14. After the new custom ROM is installed, select once more ‘choose zip from sdcard’ and then install the other copied zip file, the Gapps for Android 4.3OS.
  15. When the both files are complete installed then, return to the main custom Recovery Menu.
  16. Reboot the smartphone into normal mode.
Note: The first boot process will take more time to be completed, around 10 minutes to load all the necessary files. If this process takes longer or the smartphone enters into boot loop, then you’ll need to repeat the entire tutorial once again without to skip any steps.
