Here is the guide to Root the Sony Xperia Z3 D6653 and D6603, After rooting your phone you can install custom ROM’s, Custom Recovery and Some other apps that need a root access. Some people don’t know about the meaning for rooting, here is it. It allows other files or data from third party to access the system files. This will give the function to do customization of user interface, some apps which also comes in Custom ROM,so before proceeding let us first know about rooting,

"Rooting" is the process in which the limitations are removed and full-access is allowed. Once rooted, the Android phone owner will have more control over many settings, features and performance of their phone. Basically, "rooting" means to get to the root of the operating system and to have the ability to make global changes.

How to Root Sony Xperia Z3 D6653/D6603/D6633

  1. Make sure you have unlocked the bootloader.
  2. Download the SuperSU zip and Kernel Image from the link given in the end of post.
  3. Now place the downloaded files in the Desktop of your pc/laptop.
  4. Now connect your mobile to pc/laptop using USB Data Cable and Copy SuperSU package(downloaded files) to internal storage of your phone.
  5. Turn off the phone.Note = do not disconnect your phone from pc/laptop. 
  6. Boot into flashboot mode by holding vol up button with USB cable still
  7. connected.A Blue LED indicator will get on or glow.
  8. Now Execute fastboot command prompt : fastboot flash boot Example. fastboot flash boot bootZ3monxtest01.img
  9. After the completion of above step Reboot your phone and try entering into recovery mode by pressing vol up / vol down repetitively until booting into recovery.
  10. Now Flash SuperSU zip package,this is done by selecting the SuperSU zip which was formally placed in the internal storage of your phone and selecting install zip.
  11. The installation may take some time and after this your device will automatically get re-boot if it does not the manually re-boot it and if you face and Problem then check for the recovery bellow   .
  12. That's it ...now your Device is rooted....

Recovering Device From any Disaster

Boot failure, etc.

1- Detach USB cable
2- Press power + vol up until 3 vibes
3- Run flashtools > flash stock kernel from stock FTF using standard procedures.
